In our office in Seimsfoss we are currently looking for a Naval Architect to strengthen our team. The office contains 50+ talented and experienced colleges that are ready to welcome another team member on board. In this international environment you will be an important key to further developing our success in life-saving boats.  

Your Tasks

  • Responsible for the total integrity of design ships and boats, related components and specialist equipment that complie with safety regulations
  • Plan the whole build process of a vessel, managing everything from concept through to delivery of the final product
  • Conduct a risk analysis of ships and marine structures, using the regulations such as the International Maritime Organisation (IMO)
  • Assess aspects of design such as strength, stability and lifesaving
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with industry standards

Your Qualification

  • MSc or BSc degree in Naval Architecture 
  • Minimum 1 - 5 years’ experience in Boat desing
  • Good knowledge of the CAD, PDM tools and ERP system   
  • Analytical capabilities and a strong technical understanding
  • Familiarity with International ship building standards - IMO Solas, EN-, ISO-standards
  • Fluent English - both spoken and written
